Lujan’s RBI double sparked a two-run ninth for Midland High, but the Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to send the game into extra innings tied at 4. Michael Lujan’s two-run triple snapped a 6-6 tie in the 10th inning, and Midland High held on to beat Abilene High 9-6 in a District 2-6A game at Blackburn Field. Sam Walker and Briscoe each pitched an inning. He struck out seven and walked three in three innings. Wylie starter Brooks Gay allowed a run on two hits. Ivan Sanchez led the Westerners with two hits and an RBI. Luke Najera and Tye Briscoe each had a hit and RBI. Reese Borho added three RBIs on a double. Thompson (2-for-4, RBI, two runs) and Garrett Graham (2-for-3, double, RBI, two runs) led Wylie’s 13-hit attack as the team’s top four batters in the lineup. Williams (3-for-4, double, triple), Regala (2-for-4, three runs), J.T. LUBBOCK - Braden Regala and Landon Williams drove in four runs apiece, and three Wylie pitchers combined on a five-inning three-hitter as Wylie snapped a two-game skid with a 17-1 win over Lubbock High in a District 4-5A baseball game here Tuesday.
